Systemic and Local Drug Delivery for Treating Diseases of the Central Nervous System in Rodent Models is an 11 minute video which describes the methodology for the systemic (tail vein, intra-peritoneal, oral gavage) and local (microinjection) of compounds into the CNS of mice. The video is accompanied by a transcript. The methods are presented using mice, but can easily be adapted for use in rats.

This resource was created by Dr Serwer and colleagues from the Department of Neurological Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, USA. It is a free access resource available from the Journal of Visualized Experiments, with copyright being retained by the Journal.

This resource will be of use both to researchers who which to learn these techniques and a reference resource for more experienced colleagues.
